Voter Statistics
I coded a (very) small project for a senatorial candidate in North Carolina in the beginning of 2002. He had recently purchased a large amount of voter data through the North Carolina open document laws and needed some way to make sense of it in order to raise money. The following code condenses the voter data into the format that he needed, as well as providing some simple metrics for each county.
I post it here because I thought it was a cool project because at the time I had to be careful that my machine could actually handle that much data and that the program wouldn't be a memory hog.
